RIP MJ. There will NEVER  be anyone that remotely compares to you.

I was almost in tears as I watched this.

A few weeks ago, I wrote about a talented young man by the name of Dezmond Meeks.  Many of you might recognize him from American Idol Cycle 4.

Dezmond, like many of us, is obsessed with Michael Jackson & his music.  To call him a “FAN” would be an insult not to mention, a HUGE UNDERSTATEMENT!

The day before MJ passed, Dezmond recorded this special acoustic rendition of “Billie Jean.”  When news of MJ’s passing broke, you could only imagine how devastated Mr. Meeks was at the loss of his idol.

Nonetheless, his legacy will continue to live though TRUE artist, such as Dezmond Meeks & in the passion they have for the art of music.

The entire Michael Jackson memorial was a heartfelt event but listening to Paris Jackson, M.J’s daughter’s,  speech caused me to have a break down. The girl was in tears as she shared with the world how much of a great father Michael truly was.

It’s no secret that M.J’s favorite song was the classic,” Smile,” a tune written by none other than Charlie Chaplin (with lyrics by the English duo of James Phillips and Geoffrey Parsons) for his 1936 film “Modern Times.”

The audience sat in silence as they paid respects to one of the greatest entertainers that ever lived.

This had to be an amazing moment for the world as they watched 12 year old Shaheen Jafargholi, popularized on the hit TV show Britain’s Got Talent, perform his rendition of “Who’s Loving You!” The kid has major CHOPS! & his accent makes him even more adorable! Check out this video clip from his performance!

One of the most tear jerking moments for me at the Michael Jackson Memorial was Usher’s performance.  His mild breakdown towards the end was heartfelt.  I was all chocked up as he finished “Gone Too Soon.”  He sent chills down my spine as he ended his performance by singing directly to Michael’s casket.

What do you all think of Usher’s Performance? Many of you stated to me earlier that it seemed phony.  I completely disagree. Share your thoughts with me after the jump.

A very pregnant Jennifer Hudson performed her rendition of “I Will Be There” today at the Michael Jackson Memorial.  She ROCKED IT! Everyone gave her a standing ovation! I’m proud of Jennifer for being courageous enough to perform while preganant. Thoughts? Share them after the jump!

I was in tears as I watched this live! Many of you thought MIMI didn’t perform to the best of her capabilities.  I don’t see where she went wrong? I loved it!
